About The Position

Johnson Brothers, a family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer, is seeking a Sales Consultant for their Lake Oswego territory. This role focuses on growing an established spirits portfolio within On-Premise/Off-Premise customer bases, with a moderate emphasis on opening new accounts through consultative sales. The position is business-to-business oriented, requiring the candidate to quickly build relationships and dedicate themselves to servicing accounts. A history with On-Premise/Off-Premise accounts and an understanding of how to add value to business relationships are important. Johnson Brothers, founded in 1953, operates across 20 states and is committed to excellence, innovation, and growth, representing top beverage brands.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
  • Availability to work outside 8-5 schedule, as many accounts will be accessible best in early evening hours and occasional weekend events
  • 2-year minimum at a Sales Representative role or higher
  • BS degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent customer contact
  • Properly plan and execute sales initiatives
  • Handle all customer related issues in a prompt and friendly manner
  • Full understanding of products and promotional schedules
  • Make effective sales presentations
  • Achieve assigned company objectives and successfully grow business
  • Identify and nurture new and undersold accounts
  • Use all available POS to enhance selling efforts
  • Knowledge of all deals, programming and initiatives company has
  • Follow necessary steps when making sales calls
  • Perform reliable and consistent customer service to accounts
  • Face to face interaction to customers
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Handle all paperwork issues in a proper and timely manner
