About The Position

At CarMax, Sales Consultants are driven to provide an iconic customer experience by helping customers buy vehicles in a way that suits them. This involves building relationships to understand customer needs and guiding them through the entire process, from finding a suitable vehicle in CarMax's inventory to test drives, arranging financing applications, and completing all necessary documentation for smooth transactions. CarMax operates on principles of honesty and transparency. New Sales Consultants receive a competitive wage during training and for their first 640 hours of selling, after which commissions become the primary basis of pay. The role is part of a high-energy sales team environment where collaboration is key to meeting goals. CarMax provides paid training and a personal sales mentor, making prior auto sales experience unnecessary. The company supports the career growth of sales professionals, offering paths to become mentors, managers, and business leaders.

Requirements

  • Sales and customer service experience, in an area such as retail, is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Use your knowledge of CarMax inventory to assist customers in finding a vehicle that meets their needs
