About The Position

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Consultant to support and grow our customer base within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and is motivated by achieving sales goals. As a key point of contact for both existing and prospective clients, you will play a vital role in expanding market presence and delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sales Representative or in a similar sales role
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience using CRM software
  • Knowledge of “Center of the Plate” products is highly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory and drive long distances
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs as needed
  • Comfortable with frequent travel and product handling

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • Food service industry experience is a plus
  • Prior outside sales experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing and potential customers within your assigned territory
  • Identify local business opportunities, market trends, and potential challenges
  • Present products and services to prospective clients and recommend tailored solutions
  • Maintain and grow relationships with current customers by managing ongoing product needs
  • Deliver products and samples to customers as needed
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on sales performance (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding product features, pricing, and services
  • Cross-sell and upsell products where appropriate
  • Compare company offerings with competitors to highlight value and benefits
  • Collaborate with internal teams and other sales representatives to meet individual and team sales goals
