About The Position

To stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with merchandise and arrange displays to attract customers. To sell merchandise and collect payment.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED and prefer one (1) year of related experience.
• Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer services, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, ability to operate a cash register with multiple types of transactions, ability to count and make change, ability to comply with applicable policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answers customer’s questions about merchandise and advises customers on merchandise selection.
• Itemizes and totals customer merchandise selection at checkout counter and accept payment for purchases.
• Displays and re-stocks merchandise.
• Confers with supervisor to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
• Rotates merchandise on a first in, first out basis.
• Cleans display cases, shelves, merchandise, and work area.
