About The Position

The Sales Audit Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the retail store sales and inventory transactions are properly recorded. This position will take ownership of all sales audit functions related to day-to-day retail sales accounting operations ensuring all sales and tenders are reported accurately. This position will oversee the financial data related to, but not limited to, the business' retail operations. The Retail Sales Analyst plays a role in identifying opportunities to improve internal controls and streamline processes. This is a hybrid role; we work on site 4 days and remotely 1 day, weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Process store sales and audit sales for errors and variances.
  • Research variances and process corrections when needed.
  • Reconcile sales by store daily.
  • Ensure store tenders balance and are reconciled end of the day, POs close activity entered by each store.
  • Oversee the store's physical inventory process.
  • Work with a third-party vendor to ensure the physical count is accurate and recorded in the Aptos system correctly.
  • Prepare schedules and report the results.
  • Perform inventory and cycle count adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct daily Loss Prevention audit process for each store location. Such as cash refunds, cancelled sales, monitoring of discounts, and home office check refunds.
  • Recap the audit results with store managers/district managers and advise of needed corrections.
  • Run month-end LP reports.
  • Monitor outstanding inventory shipments and receipts.
  • Review distributions, transfers, and outstanding POs to ensure the inventory is properly recorded.
