Our Sales Associates are responsible for greeting customers, providing honest and informative answers to questions, making suggestions about products that customers might want, and performing necessary tasks for efficient department operation.
Requirements
- Prior customer service experience
- Willing to pitch-in where needed
- Engaging and positive
- Enthusiasm and interest in gardening, landscaping, and planting required
- Computer proficiency required
- Works well with others
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be available Weekends
- Open availability
Nice To Haves
- Home & garden experience and knowledge preferred
- Previous knowledge or experience with brands carried by JAX preferred
- Cashiering experience desired
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers
- Providing honest and informative answers to questions
- Making suggestions about products that customers might want
- Performing necessary tasks for efficient department operation
- Stocking shelves
- Tracking down products for customers
- Keeping the department tidy
- Relaying customer feedback to their manager
- Assisting with visual merchandising of products in the store
- Accurately processing payments
- Helping with displays and visual merchandising
- Maintaining a clean and well-stocked area
- Learning about products to provide better answers to customer questions
- Safely shifting and moving products, including some awkward or heavy items
- Assisting in loss prevention efforts
- Communicating professionally
- Presenting a professional appearance and demeanor
- Taking steps to advance teamwork and develop solid working relationships with co-workers
- Assisting in inventory responsibilities
