About The Position

Help unload incoming trucks and stock merchandise (as arranged by management). Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards. Maintain lumber yard is fully stocked. Execute day-to-day goals/priorities assigned to you and move with your “Ace Pace”. Restock merchandise as needed. Handle special orders for all non-stock items. Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager. Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting. Respond to radio requests. Assist customers with product selection and provide expert advice. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience, with lumber yard experience a plus
Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members
Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service
Strong organizational skills with a passion for details
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required
Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired
Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred
