About The Position
The Sales Associate II plays a key role in delivering a premium shopping experience by maintaining well-stocked, visually appealing shelves and providing knowledgeable, personalized service. This position supports the store’s commitment to quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous retail or grocery experience required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems and comfortable with cash handling
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and push a floor scrubber
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh, high-quality products
- Rotate inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Maintain visually appealing and organized displays that reflect the store’s upscale brand
- Greet and assist customers with product inquiries and locations
- Provide knowledgeable guidance and recommendations on specialty, organic, and gourmet products and suggest pairings
- Keep store clean, safe, and clutter-free
- Ensure shelves are dust-free and products are front-faced and properly labeled
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of work areas, equipment, and common spaces to maintain a safe, organized, and hygienic environment
- Process shrink/waste through register systems
- Use handheld devices to verify price accuracy
- Communicate effectively with other departments (e.g., produce, guest services, deli)
- Assist other departments when needed
- Support store events, promotions, and seasonal merchandising efforts
- Participate in ongoing training to stay informed about new products and store standards
- Follow dress code and grooming standards that reflect the upscale environment
- Will complete all duties and requests as assigned by management
