About The Position

The Sales Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the sales team, including Account Executives and Sales Leaders. This role involves actively soliciting new prospective clients through various channels like phone, email, and marketing strategies, and scheduling product presentations. A key part of the position is managing incoming loan submissions, ensuring their completeness and accurate data entry into loan origination systems. The Sales Assistant acts as a primary contact for clients, addressing their questions and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members. Responsibilities also include assisting in the creation of presentations, reports, and marketing materials for both prospective and existing clients. The individual will track pipeline activity, coordinate with operations to ensure timely loan progression through underwriting and closing, and maintain current knowledge of company loan products, eligibility, and pricing. Collaboration with underwriting, disclosures, and funding teams is essential for resolving documentation or status issues. The role also supports the onboarding of new brokers and correspondents by gathering necessary documents and setting up system access. Continuous monitoring and updating of CRM and sales tracking tools with accurate client and loan information are required, along with participation in team meetings to contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Self-motivated team player with a strong attention to detail and customer service orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in a sales support, sales, mortgage, or financial services role preferred.
  • Knowledge of Non-QM lending products is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the sales team, including Account Executives and Sales Leaders.
  • Solicit new prospective clients and target new prospects.
  • Outbound sales solicitation via phone, email and marketing strategies.
  • Schedule appointment presentations of our products and services to new and existing clients.
  • Manage incoming loan submissions, review for completeness, and ensure accurate data entry into loan origination systems.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, answering questions and routing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and marketing materials for prospective and existing clients.
  • Track pipeline activity and coordinate with operations to ensure loans are progressing through underwriting and closing in a timely manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company loan products, eligibility requirements, and pricing tools.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, disclosures, and funding teams to resolve documentation or status issues.
