About The Position
The Sales Assistant supports the Mortgage Loan Originator by assisting with document gathering, ordering third-party services, and coordinating with processors, loan originators, and customers to ensure all necessary information is provided to the processor. This role explicitly prohibits communication with consumers regarding loan terms or conditions and is not considered a Mortgage Loan Originator as defined by the SAFE Act or TILA regulations.
Requirements
- All offers are contingent on the successful completion of criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Assist loan officers with document gathering, preliminary analysis of the documents, customer follow-up and Encompass input
- Order appraisals on conventional loans
- Order all Title required documentation (Title, CPL, Prelim HUD, Tax Cert, E&O, Wire Instructions)
- Order Flood Cert
- Complete Closing Request Form
- Gather signed supporting documentation and upload into system
- Review any discrepancies with the Loan Officer
- Follow up on the Title and Homeowner insurance on processor's behalf
- Assist processors with verbal VOE, payoff, insurance clause
- Work in conjunction with Loan Officer to order Condo Questionnaire and subordination agreement if necessary
- Ensures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties
