About The Position

Would you like to be a part of a fast growing Commercial Corporation that have tripled in size over the past 2 years? This is your chance to join a dynamic Tax team in Mclean, VA and put your Sales and Use Tax skills to good use. This role is responsible for maintaining and ensuring tax compliance for all 300 office locations. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a minimum three (1-2) years accounting and tax experience. You should have a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask, and be a strong communicator. This positions directly supports acquisition activities as well a key liaison to many other areas of the company.

Requirements

BA/BS in Business/Accounting/Finance or related field
2+ years Accounting experience, specializing in tax related activities
Experience with high volume and a wide variety of operational and financing activities, is preferred
Solid understanding and experience handling sales & use tax, property tax, BPOL and/or other specialty tax
Demonstrated ability to work with extreme attention to details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a company who's main business is retail focused is a plus.
Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar accounting software, a plus

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee monthly sales & use tax filings daily operations of the general ledger group within the accounting department
Establish, monitor and maintain business licenses, property tax, and sales & use tax related to all office locations.
Assist in development and implementation of new procedures as appropriate
