About The Position

Charter Senior Living is seeking an experienced and driven Sales & Marketing Director with assisted living experience and a strong background in internal, consultative sales . This role is ideal for a hands-on sales leader who thrives in one-on-one selling , builds trust with families, and consistently converts leads into move-ins. The Sales & Marketing Director is responsible for driving and sustaining high occupancy through internal sales execution , lead management, and personalized family engagement. Reporting to the Executive Director , this role focuses on converting inquiries into residents. Demonstrates strong selling skills in one-on-one interactions by actively listening to customer needs, building trust, and presenting solutions with confidence and clarity. Effectively asks the right questions to uncover pain points, tailor's recommendations to align with customer goals, and handles objections professionally. Consistently creates a personalized experience that drives engagement, closes sales, and builds long-term relationships. This position is less about external advertising and more about owning the sales process from first contact to move-in , building relationships, and consistently closing.

Requirements

  • Proven success in senior living or assisted living sales
  • Strong one-on-one, relationship-based selling skills
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-up discipline
  • Confident communicator with the ability to guide families through emotional decisions
  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and results-oriented
  • Professional presence with a heart for service

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full internal sales cycle from inquiry to move-in
  • Conduct high-quality, personalized community tours that convert
  • Build trust with prospective residents and families through consultative selling
  • Maintain consistent, strategic follow-up with all leads
  • Achieve and sustain occupancy and revenue goals
  • Track, analyze, and manage leads using CRM or sales tracking systems
  • Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to align sales strategy with community operations
  • Represent Charter's mission, values, and culture in every interaction
