Sales and Event Manager - UpBar

About The Position

Midas Hospitality is seeking a Sales and Event Manager to join our sales team to promote and sell the rooftop bar, UpBar. This person will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events as well as selling our rooftop bar to various clientele. This person will create fun events to drive foot traffic into the bar. Activities will include reaching out to various businesses, bridal parties, influencers, local breweries, apartment complexes, colleges and promoters.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in event management or sales is expected, including experience with corporate meetings, weddings, and other special occasions
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are essential
  • Proficiency in event management software and CRM tools is also beneficia Exceptional communication and sales skills in order to solicit new business and ensure the satisfaction of current business
  • Willingness to complete outside sales calls and cold-calling

Responsibilities

  • Promoting the venue's services and capabilities
  • Develop sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones
  • Collaborating with marketing teams to create promotional materials and campaigns
  • Oversee all aspects of event planning, from initial concept to execution
  • Coordinating logistics
  • Managing timelines
  • Ensuring that all details align with the client's vision and budget
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Understanding their needs and preferences to create tailored event proposals
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Ensuring client satisfaction throughout the event process
  • Handle contracts with suppliers and third-party vendors
  • Ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are secured for the event
  • Managing budgets
  • Ensuring that all services are delivered as promised
  • Act as the on-site point of contact, overseeing the execution of the event and addressing any issues that arise
  • Ensure that everything runs smoothly and that the client's expectations are met
  • Participate in communication and professional organizations to maintain high visibility and promote sales
  • Communicate with Director of Sales
