Clarke Power is a family-owned business celebrating over 60 years of service. Our Clarke Power Services division is currently seeking a Sales Account Manager for our Indianapolis, IN location. Candidate must reside within the branch market area with some required monthly overnight travel to Fort Wayne, IN. Clarke is headquartered in Cincinnati with multiple branches across the country. We are an industry leader in fleet management and repair with a mobile team available for on-site services.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be capable of passing pre-employment drug, background and MVR screenings
  • Preferred bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven successful sales growth experience, preferably in transportation and/or fleet management, but direct industry experience is not necessary
  • Experience utilizing CRM - Dynamics and PowerBi - familiarity a plus
  • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Allison Transmissions and All Makes/All Models Engines is helpful

Responsibilities

  • Top candidate must have a hunter mindset to add new business, with the ability to manage current business and gain a greater share of wallet
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build long-lasting positive relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Strong leadership qualities, along with a highly competitive sales nature
  • Ability to develop targets and implement a strategy to generate new revenue opportunities
  • Must be able to support initiatives of vertical market leaders within local assignments
  • Ability to communicate sales activity to the manager and the local branch operations team
  • Provide sales projections and forecasts
  • Ability to work independently and have a strong team focus
  • Travel to local and surrounding areas, with a period of overnight sales travel possible
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Openness to training, development, and coachability
  • Ability to express new ideas and opportunities to the Clarke team
  • Excellent presentation skills to present effectively before decision-maker groups or employees of the organization
  • Time management skills are needed to handle multiple initiatives within the territory assignment
  • Bring a positive can-do winning attitude every day
  • Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
