Under the direction of the Medical Records/HIM Director, the HIM Processing Associate is responsible to collect, compile, process, store, and maintain medical records of hospital and clinic patients in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the health care system. Organize, prioritize, locates, pulls, assembles, scans, indexes, quality checks, tracks both electronic and paper records, and sees to the appropriate transport of records requested by other departments in accordance with established standards. Fills in other HIM Areas when needed.
