About The Position

About the Role Ally Waste Services is looking for a hands-on Safety Trainer to help us build a culture of safety across our driver workforce. This isn't a desk job. You'll be in the field, on the road, and in front of drivers across multiple markets, delivering the training that keeps our team and our communities safe. If you know commercial driving, understand DOT/FMCSA compliance, and can connect with drivers in a way that actually changes behavior - we want to talk to you. What You'll Do You'll own driver training from orientation through remedial coaching. That means conducting road tests, leading safety classes, specifically Smith System, doing ride-alongs, and stepping in after incidents to identify what went wrong and fix it. You'll travel to our markets in Arizona, Texas, California, Washington, Florida, and beyond - working alongside Fleet Managers and Safety Coordinators to make sure training is aligned with what's actually happening on the ground. What We're Looking For 3–5 years of experience in professional driving, fleet management, or safety training Solid knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and commercial driver safety requirements Comfortable leading both classroom sessions and hands-on field training Strong communicator - clear and confident with groups and one-on-one Bilingual in English and Spanish (required) Willing and able to travel regularly across our markets Valid or ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate (medical card) Ability to operate a vehicle with a trailer
