Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Safety and Environmental Health, the Safety Technician performs tasks to support compliance with safety, fire prevention, and environmental health programs. This position performs entry-level safety checks on equipment, assists with maintaining safety supplies, provides vendor escorts, collects and analyzes information, and helps support good housekeeping and a safe environment. This role requires frequent walking and movement through various campus environments, including movement between campuses and outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate is an engaged and proactive team member who is eager to learn and grow within the field of safety and environmental health. The role will also require travel to other campuses as needed. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an active, hands-on environment and contributing to a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the college.
