NexGen is looking for a Safety Technician to join their Mechanical division! This position is based out of Reno, NV . Why NexGen? Requirements

Up to five years of related experience.
OSHA 30 Hour card required.
Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications.

Responsibilities

Enforce the use of safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA, company safety regulations, and customer requirements.
Reinforce that team members on the project site are in compliance with the safety requirements of NexGen.
Ensure that appropriate safety records are maintained.
Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat, safe and orderly fashion.
Investigate cause of an incident and complete reports as required.
Assist Site Manager in administrative counseling to team members and trade partners who are in non-compliance with safety requirements.
Hold safety meetings/jobsite review as part of coordination meetings.
Responsible for conducting daily safety meetings.
Responsible for conducting orientation and jobsite specific training.
Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of NexGen’s safety program on site.
Other duties may be assigned.
