About The Position

Position provides general assistance and support to the Safety and Security Department ensuring confidentiality and safe practices are followed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education (GED) required.
  • Two (2) years or more of administrative/clerical, video mobile, safety and security related experience.
  • Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems, as well as a computer for both data entry, word processing, and/or accounting purposes
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to determine own approach for completing work, given general guidelines.
  • Ability to perform work that necessitates some specialized knowledge of clerical or trades-based tasks. Some of the typical responsibilities include gathering, formatting, or visually analyzing data.
  • Ability to follow basic guidelines for operational activities and make decisions that govern the activities and behaviors of staff members. Work directly impacts other workers, citizens, or both.
  • Ability to work with less than ten co-workers who are mostly engaged in the same activities as incumbent.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prepare and edit clear, complex and concise written reports.
  • Ability to work under stress and interruptions.

  • Constant periods of sitting, oral and written communication, and listening.

  • Ability to hear, see, speak, and perceive color, depth and texture.
  • Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and occasional lifting & carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
  • May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting HART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.

  • Promoting workplace safety procedures within their department.
  • Adhering to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for documenting and maintaining data entry for all safety related items.
  • Responsible for daily inspections Trespassing Program to identify issues and provides recommendations to Safety and Security Manager.
  • Daily interaction and follow up with HART’s contracted security staff.
  • Assist with ongoing safety and security related investigations as directed by Safety and Security Manager.
  • Responsible for documenting and maintaining data entry for all safety related items.
  • Assists with obtaining and reviewing video of events occurring on HART vehicles and/or facilities.
  • Conducts monthly compliance and safety inspections. Documents ongoing monthly and annual hazard identification, analysis, and Corrective Action Plans (CAPS). Assists with internal audits of the Safety and Security department.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
