WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING As a Safety Specialist, you will lead initiatives to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, reduce injuries, and support workers’ compensation processes while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Your expertise in ski resorts, lift operations, mountain environments, or related industries will be invaluable in navigating the unique hazards and regulatory expectations connected to ropeways and aerial lift systems. This position requires a confident communicator who can deliver effective safety trainings, speak comfortably in front of groups, and work directly with regulatory agencies when needed. You'll have a visible impact on the company, forming meaningful relationships with teams across the organization and continuously improving how we work and care for our employees. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in OSHA safety regulations and safety program development.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to satellite locations at least 20% of the time.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, construction, ski resort or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with leaders and employees across diverse departments to develop practical, mutually agreed-upon safety solutions.
  • Proven track record of building trust and working effectively with individuals who have different work styles, priorities, and perspectives.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices.
  • Authorized to work in the United States of America.
  • Proficient in the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Experience in ski resort operations, ropeways, or lift installation is highly preferred.
  • OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, or similar certifications.
  • Experience managing workers’ compensation cases.
  • Knowledge of fall protection, high-angle work, rigging, and construction safety.
