HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist to support our growing commercial construction projects. Requirements

Relevant safety certifications: 3 years + experience
Experience on large-scale or mission-critical construction projects, preferably data centers
Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E, LOTO procedures)
Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

OSHA 510 and STSC preferred.

Responsibilities

Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety plans, and client safety standards across all electrical scopes of work.
Conduct daily field safety audits, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and pre-task planning reviews with crews.
Majority fiield work making observations
Ability to lead and document toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing safety training for field personnel.
Monitor high-risk activities such as energized electrical work, lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash exposure, elevated work, and confined space entry.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports and corrective action plans.
Track and maintain safety metrics, documentation, permits, and compliance records.
Support project leadership in fostering a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure proper use, inspection, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems.
Participate in site safety meetings, audits, and client inspections.
