We are headquartered in Utah and are growing in multiple states and have potential future openings in California, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and Nevada. Position Join WCF insurance as a Safety & Risk Intern for an educational hands-on approach to learning about insurance and mitigating risk. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), temporary position that works out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters.
Requirements
- Completed Sophomore year of college or more in Occupational Health, Safety, Risk Management, or similar degree. Graduate and PhD students welcome.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- General understanding of safety and risk management
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Power BI a plus.
Responsibilities
- collaborate with fellow interns and departments to learn insurance from many different angles
- The program includes weekly paid training sessions on insurance terminology and regular opportunities to share experiences and insights with your cohort
- Projects may include creating workplace safety & risk toolkits used by policyholders and agents to prevent injuries and other unwanted losses
- reviewing and updating safety & risk educational materials
- data organization & analysis to help target safety & risk control resources
