About Proficient Auto Logistics Proficient Auto Logistics (PAL) is a leading specialized freight company focused on providing auto transportation and logistics services. Formed via IPO in May 2024, PAL combined five industry-leading operating companies, and has since acquired two additional operating companies. As a combined entity, we operate one of the largest auto transportation fleets in North America with over 1,200 trucks, 55 terminal locations and 800 employees, a majority of whom are drivers. We offer a broad range of auto transportation and logistics services, primarily focused on transporting finished vehicles from automotive production facilities, marine ports of entry, or regional rail yards to auto dealerships around the country. Responsibilities

  • Ensure Company processes and practices meet regulatory and customer requirements
  • Work with new drivers to assess understanding of rules and procedures and coach drivers on safe work practices to prevent accidents and cargo damage
  • Develop and nurture relationships with drivers and serve as a resource to build and ease communications which support a healthy driver experience
  • Assist Driver Development team with updating and delivering curriculum, and driving continuous improvement efforts to support driver learning and experience objectives
  • Instruct new and existing drivers on Company policies, safe operating practices, FMCSA regulations, quality standards, technology platforms, and Customer requirements
  • Ensure drivers effectively demonstrate competency requirements, curriculum is successfully completed and documented, and driver files are up-to-date and compliant
  • Collaborate with Safety, Driver Development, and Claims departments to assess driver behaviors and develop corrective action plans
  • Develop and nurture relationships with operating personnel and serve as a resource to build and ease communications which support a healthy safety and quality culture
  • Apply data-driven approaches to implement and monitor behavior-based and risk-based programs in support of safety culture goals and objectives
  • Demonstrate the effective use of safety and claims tools/technologies (i.e., Motive, Magnus/VLMS, PrePass, Driver Pulse App, CLC cards, et cetera)
  • Collaborate with Operations, Safety, and Human Resources to assess and deliver new hire feedback on Company driver performance, experience, and retention
  • Collaborate with Safety and Risk Management team members to define, report, and improve key safety and quality performance measures
  • Monitor driver behaviors and ensure compliance with hours-of-service, driver vehicle inspection reports, and safe driving performance to support healthy FMCSA CSA BASICs scores
  • Apply data-driven approaches to implement and monitor behavior-based and risk-based programs in support of safety culture goals and objectives
  • Conduct routine safety and quality observations to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements
  • Conduct accident/injury investigations, provide on-time, accurate accident/injury reporting, and identify and implement corrective action plans
  • Identify and eliminate cargo loading, transporting, and unloading inefficiencies and errors to meet customer and contractual expectations
  • Serve as an evangelist to promote a culture which values and demonstrates excellence in Safety and Quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned
