The Safety Manager will partner with plant management to ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures, providing leadership by implementing, communicating, and sustaining plant systems. This role involves verifying program effectiveness through regular audits and communicating results to plant leadership teams. Key functions include developing and improving safety and environmental programs, providing training and technical support, managing hazardous waste plans, monitoring facility performance, understanding regulatory changes, leading accident investigation programs, ensuring incident reporting and root cause analysis, maintaining safety and environmental data, conducting internal audits, completing risk assessments, and ensuring contractor safety processes. The manager will also partner with HR on workers’ compensation programs and support food safety and quality standards.
