About The Position

Huston Electric, a fourth-generation, family-owned electrical contracting company serving Indiana since 1939, is seeking a Safety Manager to join our team in Westfield, IN. We are offering a salary of $55-$60,000, and a competitive benefit package which includes paid vacation, paid company holidays, 401 (K) with company matching, pension, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage for a full-time employee. This position will report daily to our Westfield office and working hours are 7:30am-4:30pm with one hour lunch.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field preferred.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction required; OSHA 500 preferred.
Minimum 3 years of full-time construction safety experience.
Confident decision-maker able to challenge unsafe work and influence field crews.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Safety Management Systems.
Ability to work collaboratively and under direct supervision.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Must pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Assist with overall safety management for Huston Electric.
Develop, implement, and maintain company safety programs and policies.
Conduct safety meetings and training for field employees and supervisors.
Participate in project planning, pre-bid meetings, and closeout meetings.
Investigate incidents and review accident reports; track safety compliance.
Collaborate with other company safety directors to share best practices.
Ensure managers and supervisors receive proper safety and health training.
Inspect job sites and equipment to maintain OSHA compliance and company standards.
Serve as a resource for health and safety topics for employees and subcontractors.
Stay up to date on industry regulations and relay updates to field-level management.
Implement and manage Safety Management System (KPA Flex).
Track and document disciplinary actions for safety violations.
