ProChem is looking for a Safety Program Manager to manage the safety program for our multi-site, multi-state, and multi-disciplined organization. This person will maintain and create necessary written programs, conduct and oraganize audits and PM schedules, conduct inspections and invstigation, document incidents, and train staff. This position focuses on hazard identification, compliance with regulations, and employee engagement and adherence in the safety program. This positio nrequires strong organizational skills, communication skills, and detail-orientation. We offer full benefits for you and your family. Employee only benefits are free. This position will work out of the headquarters in Elliston, VA. This position will travel regularly to our multiple work sites around the country to provide in-person support. The successful candidate must: be able to perform the required job duties, meet the required education and experience criteria, posses the required skills, meet the physical demands of the position, and commute reliably to the work location for the specified schedule. Preference will be given to candidates who possess skills and training marked as "preferred." Essential Functions Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and heath problems. Work with the corporate Safety Director and local Safety Committee and Compliance Officer to develop actions plans and track execution. Manag the employee training program; conducts employee training for applicable safety standards. Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates. Helps conduct safety and security inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations. Inspects safety equipment; recommends replacements. Reviews accidents and incidents reported by employees and visitors to the facility. Develops and maintains a system to report, monitor, and correct safety problems. Collaborates with leadership to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules. Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting. Provides technical and administrative support to the safety committee as needed. Conducts or creates investigations related to accidents and incident reporting. Collaborates with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) representatives and internal safety staff during formal plant audits and inspections. Adopts a proactive approach to providing a safe working environment; provides training and guidance to employees via safety bulletins, documentation, and training meetings. Performs others related duties as assigned. Adhering to company policies and procedures.
