About The Position

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a comprehensive safety management program that protects employees, guests, and company assets across Revel Group operations. This role ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices while fostering a proactive, safety-first culture through training, audits, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification (General Industry or Construction, as applicable).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2–4 years of safety management experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management principles.
  • CPR certified or willing to get certified within 3 months of hire
  • Ability to walk, stand, and navigate active operational environments for extended periods.
  • Availability to respond to incidents and emergencies, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Ability to perform occasional lifting and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

  • ASP, CSP, or similar professional safety certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in theme park, amusement, hospitality, or entertainment environments preferred.
  • Experience managing general industry safety programs.
  • Familiarity with emergency management practices and Incident Command Systems (ICS).
  • Preferred certified instructor, or instructor trainer through the American Red Cross

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s safety management system, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all operational areas; identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to reduce risk and prevent injuries.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and company safety requirements.
  • Partner with department leaders and HR to ensure OSHA-required and company-specific safety training is completed, documented, and maintained.
  • Manage workplace injury and incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis.
  • Administer the workers’ compensation program, including claims management, return-to-work programs, and coordination with insurance carriers and medical providers.
  • Track, analyze, and report safety performance metrics, including employee and guest injury and illness trends.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain emergency action plans; coordinate with local EMS and public safety agencies to conduct emergency drills and exercises.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, OSHA logs, training documentation, and compliance reports.
