Requirements

  • Experience: Previous safety management experience is often preferred. Experience in quality assurance, production, or service management may be relevant, depending on the specific role.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of relevant regulations and standards, such as OSHA, EPA, DOT, CFR, FAA, and TSA is essential. Knowledge of specific industry or customer standards (e.g., ISO 9001) may also be required.
  • Safety and Quality Management Skills: Proficiency in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and quality programs. Ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and inspections.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze quality data to identify trends and implement improvement initiatives. Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking are beneficial.
  • Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are crucial for collaborating with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Computer Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) is typically required. Familiarity with quality management software and tools may be beneficial.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and handbooks.
  • Ability to effectively present information, including in written form, and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Employee must have experience working with Microsoft Office software applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
  • Employee must comply with the Company's uniform and grooming standards and must wear his or her ABM or Client badge at all times.
  • Employee must comply with all guidelines and policies set forth in the ABM Employee Handbook. These policies include, but are not limited to, the Company's Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy, Retaliation Policy, Ethics Policy, and Security Policy. Employee must also comply with regulatory agency requirements, including, but not limited to, the ADA, ACAA, DOT, TSA, FAA, and Federal, State, and Local authorities.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must submit to and pass a drug screen.
  • Must work schedule as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Safety, Security, and Quality Program Management: Assist with and oversee the administration, maintenance, and oversight of company safety, security, and quality programs at the designated station. This includes ensuring improvements in these areas are implemented correctly.
  • Training and Implementation: Help train employees in safety, security, quality, and job-specific policies and procedures as required by the station. Oversee and ensure the implementation of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with various regulations and standards, such as OSHA, EPA, DOT, CFR, FAA, TSA, and client-specific requirements. Also, ensure employees follow established policies and procedures to meet quality standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain all records related to station safety, security, and quality, including incident reports, audits, inspections, and other relevant documentation.
  • Audits and Observations: Perform safety observations and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Reporting: Create reports related to safety and quality performance for managers and potentially other stakeholders.
  • Fostering a Culture of Quality and Safety: Help instill a culture of safety, security, and quality and strive to achieve measurable results.
  • Relationship Management: Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients, and customers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Coordinate with other departments to integrate quality controls effectively, analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and implement strategies to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
