About The Position

To help us in our mission to professionalize and innovate telecom construction, ByVerTek is now seeking a meticulous and experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety protocols and compliance within our telecommunications construction operations and enterprise-wide. The ideal candidate will have a background in safety management, preferably in telecommunications infrastructure projects (or similar construction projects), ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety among our workforces. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Proven experience (3+ years) as a Safety Manager or similar role.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other relevant safety guidelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
OSHA 10 and 30 certifications preferred.
Position is based on-site in our Boca Raton, FL office and reports to our Chief Executive Officer.
Ability to travel to various project sites as needed - travel will be 50-65% of the time.

Nice To Haves

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety policies, SOPs and procedures specific to telecommunication construction projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Provide safety training and education programs for employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders involved in telecommunications projects and enterprise-wide.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety protocols into project planning and execution phases.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
Stay updated on industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory changes relevant to telecommunications operations.
Manage Worker's Compensation claims administration and liaise with Human Resources.
Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and issues and communicate safety expectations clearly to all levels of the organization.
Develop and maintain safety budget, playbook, goals and plans.
Attend key leadership and staff meetings.
Other key responsibilities as required.
