About The Position
Construction Safety Manager Location: Phoenix, AZ Duration: 4-6 Weeks (Start: 4/13) Type: 1099 Contractor Job Details Hourly Rate: $52.50/HR Per Diem: No perdiem Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay: Weekly Schedule: M-F | 0700 - 1600 | 40hrs/week Project Scope The construction safety manager will be responsible for overall safety oversight. The client is providing both soft and hard services during the construction process, with a primary emphasis on construction cleaning. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing health and safety protocols for cleaning services during construction activities. Supervising cleaning tasks at the construction site. They expect the safety person to help shape the safety program.
Requirements
- OSHA 510 with 5 years of consturction safety
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
- Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
Nice To Haves
- OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
- Monitor OSHA compliance
- Upload documentation into Procore
- Daily safety reports
- Track workforce safety compliance
- Maintain safety logs and compliance records
- Fall protection enforcement (CRITICAL priority)
- Provide safety training as needed
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
