The Safety Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Safety and Security Management Systems Strives for an Injury Free working environment for our people Develops high levels of employee engagement Trends and drives the key Leading Indicators Responsible for developing and delivering Safety and Security training Coordinates completion of Lean Job Hazard Analysis Understands and promotes Behavior Based Safety Promotes the Safety Improvement programs Promotes continuous improvement Analyzes and trends indicators of injuries Assists with performing comprehensive injury investigations Manages workers compensation claims Supports compliance to OSHA and Kimball International standards Coordinates the Facility Security Program Understands and supports effective Local Emergency Response Teams (LERT) Understands and supports external certification programs (VPP and SHARPs) Assists in creating effective Safety teams Responsible to report all internal and external reporting requirements Maintains and updates written plans with annuals reviews Responsible for maintaining documentation of all required safety training. Maintains SDS sheets, both active and inactive Maintains safety files using the standard electronic filing format Support the Core Values and Corporate Goals of Kimball International. Supports 6S initiatives and Continuous Improvement
