About The Position

As a Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment in our high-volume fulfillment and 3PL operations. You will lead the charge in identifying risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement in safety protocols. Your expertise in hazardous materials (hazmat), OSHA compliance, and safety training will be key in fostering a culture of safety within our organization.

Requirements

Proven experience in identifying risks and providing recommendations to eliminate or mitigate them.
Strong background in ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements in safety and operations.
Experience in developing and publishing reports to track safety and compliance metrics.
Ability to conduct audits to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to regulatory and company policies.
Expertise in reviewing and interpreting regulatory requirements related to security, safety, and hazmat, with a focus on implementing system controls for compliance.
Experience in scheduling and managing local safety training programs, including hazmat training.
In-depth knowledge of hazardous materials (hazmat) handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations with a proven track record of ensuring compliance.
Experience in documenting processes and identifying best practices for developing safety training programs.
Familiarity with common material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, balers, scales).
Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and convey both business and technical concepts.
Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced expertise in MS PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability in presenting and facilitating safety training or meetings.
