About The Position

Forgen is seeking students pursuing degrees in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields—along with other interested candidates—to join our project locations for internship opportunities. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting workplace safety initiatives within a construction environment. The Safety Intern assists in promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture by helping implement safety policies and procedures, conducting site observations, and supporting compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Requirements

• Candidates must be working toward a BS degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.

Responsibilities

• Update project safety plan and procedures.
• Maintain documentation to improve safety performance.
• Track program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, recordkeeping, and audits.
• Monitor regulatory updates and integrate into the project plans.
• Ensure compliance with various agencies (e.g., OSHA).
• Maintain safety dashboards and performance metrics.
• Compile monthly stats for site management.
• Tracking leading indicators such as observations, training, and inspections.
• Support analysis of trends to identify risk areas.
