About The Position

Are you interested in learning more about the Safety, Health and Environment in the world leading industrial coating resins company? We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized colleague who will provide leadership and guidance to ensure compliance to government regulations on safety, health and the environment as well as adherence to allnex’s SHE policies and standards including all security procedures.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of SHE related experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in local and regional SHE related regulations, as well as in interaction with auditors and regulating officials.
  • Demonstrated team & project leadership experience (e.g. PHA, PSSR, audits & root cause).
  • English is required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Safety, Health, or Environmental field (required).
  • Legal required certificates to act as Site SHE Leader for Safety and Environmental.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all site Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) initiatives within the chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as allnex SHE policies and standards.
  • Continuously monitor and interpret evolving laws, regulations, rules, and codes to advise leadership on required changes. Maintain the EHS calendar, meet all regulatory deadlines, and prepare or submit necessary reports (e.g., MON, LDAR).
  • Assess the site’s risk profile and recommend programs, actions, and investments. Oversee SHE Management System certifications (e.g., ISO14001, ISO45001, RCMS), ensuring full compliance, maintenance, and continual improvement of all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Champion a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility across the site. Deliver SHE training, lead Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, and collaborate with all levels of management to resolve potential or existing compliance issues.
  • Serve as the primary site contact for emergency response, including spills, fires, and injuries. Develop and maintain the occupational health program in partnership with medical teams, ensuring employee well-being and compliance with health standards.
  • Participate in or initiate Hazard Evaluation Lab analyses to determine safe operating limits. Regularly review and refine SHE interaction plans to uphold strict adherence to the company’s Safety, Health, Environment, and Energy policies.
  • Strengthen workplace safety and compliance by reducing slip, trip, and fall incidents; implementing 5S, SHAPE, and Clean Floor policies; and delivering operator PPE and splash-prevention training. Serve as a leader in the Visible Site Leadership (VSL) under the current safety campaign initiative, oversee raw material handling using a risk assessment approach, and expand site-wide risk-reduction plan.
