This position plays a critical role in supporting on-site safety leadership while assisting with project coordination and field operations. This role travels to project locations to conduct safety oversight, ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and support field leadership. In addition to safety coordination, this position assists with project management tasks including scheduling support, documentation, communication, and job site coordination to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in construction safety, field supervision, or project coordination required
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required for documentation, training, and safety compliance
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to work extended hours as project demands require
  • Ability to work outdoors and in active construction environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in asphalt, concrete, grading, or civil construction preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Travel to active job sites to provide on-site safety coordination
  • Conduct job site safety inspections and observations
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Lead or assist with safety meetings and toolbox talks
  • Document safety reports, incidents, and corrective actions
  • Monitor use of PPE and safe work practices
  • Assist project managers with daily field coordination and logistics
  • Support scheduling, documentation, and material tracking
  • Communicate safety expectations clearly with crews and subcontractors
  • Collaborate with field leadership to address and correct safety concerns promptly
  • Support project documentation and reporting requirements
