About The Position

Grand Design RV is currently sourcing a Safety Coordinator to join our Team. As a Grand Design team member in this role, you will be responsible for leading the environmental, health & safety improvement efforts at one or more production plants to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This position will work within the EHS department to improve workplace safety performance by promoting a safe workplace, identifying and mitigating hazards, and implementing safety programs to improve safety culture, prevent injuries, and maintain compliance. Requirements

  • Ability to intervene in unsafe actions/situations
  • Working with a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements preferred
  • Prior experience in health & safety preferred
  • Ability to work early hours with flexible schedule
  • Stand, walk, sit in a production environment
  • Office sitting and standing environment

Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture with safety as a value that impacts every aspect of work
  • Work closely with plant management to identify and mitigate hazards for injury prevention
  • Conduct risk assessments as needed to reduce workplace injuries
  • Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct routine evaluations/audits, and guide teams to implement corrective actions
  • Organize and conduct safety training
  • Respond to incidents, render first-aid when needed, and transport employees for further evaluation
  • Facilitate incident investigations, work with key stakeholders to identify root/contributing cause(s), develop corrective actions, and manage follow-up
  • Enter and maintain incident information in the company incident management system
  • Analyze data to make recommendations for improvement
  • Serve as a technical resource for federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
  • Other relevant duties as assigned by the EHS Manager
