Requirements

  • OSHA 30 Certification (General Industry or Construction).
  • 1–3 years of experience in Safety, QC, or a related field.
  • Experience training or working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Experience with scheduling, reporting, and documentation of safety or operational processes.
  • Familiarity with AHA development, OSHA regulations, EM 385‑1‑1, or military‑contract safety environments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional and courteous communication style.
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to identify hazards, document findings, and follow safety protocols.
  • Valid state driver license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
  • Access to this federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support all safety-related activities, including safety committee meetings, daily safety topics, monthly inspections, and communication of policy updates.
  • Partner with Leads and supervisors to delegate safety tasks, address hazardous conditions, correct unsafe work practices, and intervene when necessary.
  • Review, develop, and revise Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and compile required environmental and chemical usage reports.
  • Assist in accident investigations and gather hazardous condition reports to help determine safety meeting focus areas.
  • Participate in new hire safety and janitorial training when Leads or QCs are unavailable.
  • Maintain professional communication and customer service, ensuring timely and courteous interactions.
  • Uphold professionalism in appearance, conduct, and compliance with site policies, OSHA, and EM385 standards.
  • Cross‑train across areas and locations, demonstrate willingness to learn new skills, and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Attend monthly Safety meetings led by the SSHO.
