The Safety Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and providing support to most aspects of the safety programs within the company. Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, workplace hazards, and other safety-related topics. The Safety Coordinator must be fluent in Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages. This person must ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, develop, and implement safety policies and procedures, conduct regular inspections, and provide training and guidance to employees. The safety coordinator is responsible for making sure the employees follow all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. Experience working in heavy civil construction, including roadway and highway is a must, and airport work is a plus. The Safety Coordinator works closely with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to create a safe working environment.
