About The Position

The Safety Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department by ensuring the accuracy, organization, and efficient management of all safety-related data and documentation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of two (3) years of demonstrated experience working with complex spreadsheets (e.g., advanced formulas, data validation).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs).
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in an organized manner

Responsibilities

  • Data Management & Accuracy: Assist with the collection, verification, and maintenance of all EHS data to ensure its integrity and reliability.
  • System Administration: Serve as the Administrator / Super User for three key safety software systems, including managing user access, configuration, and data input/output.
  • Documentation & Policy Support: Aid in organizing and updating essential EHS documentation, including safety programs and policy revisions.
  • Training and Compliance Tracking: Manage and track all employee safety training records to ensure compliance and support timely scheduling.
  • Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports and analyses of safety data to support EHS management and decision-making.
  • Communication & Support: Respond to internal inquiries regarding safety training status, policy locations, and incident data requests. Prepare presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint/Slides) for EHS management meetings, using data extracted from the safety systems.
  • Training Course Development: Utilize Canva Pro to design, develop, and update visually appealing and engaging safety training courses, presentations, and communication materials.
