This is not a typical safety role. This is a front-line position where your presence directly shapes whether someone feels secure, supported, and seen during some of the most vulnerable moments of their life. As a Safety and Security Representative, you are not just maintaining order—you are helping stabilize environments, de-escalate crises, and model what calm, respectful human interaction looks like under pressure. Your actions can change the trajectory of someone’s day, and sometimes much more than that. Safety and Security Representatives support direct care teams by supervising patients and maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. You will work with both youth and adults, engaging them in problem-solving, reinforcing positive behaviors, and assisting with daily needs. This role requires sound judgment, emotional awareness, and the ability to act quickly and effectively in dynamic situations. When leadership is not present, you may step into a lead capacity based on operational needs.
