About The Position

The Safety and Risk Analyst is responsible for providing safety, risk analysis, claim management, site visits and training to sites located in assigned territory. This position will also identify key risk areas and collaborate with site management on strategies to mitigate risk, injuries, and hazards to Goodwill property. Implements strategies to achieve the goals for the organization and safety and loss control. Implements, revises, and sustains policies, procedures and programs. Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 3 – 12 months.

Requirements

  • Two years of college education or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Previous experience in: safety, risk, health, human resources, insurance, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations that pertain to employee health and safety, OSHA, workers compensation, general liability, and insurance regulations.
  • Basic Microsoft Office experience required (Excel, Outlook, Skype for Business, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Provides safety, risk analysis, claim management, site visits and training to sites located in assigned territory.
  • Identify key risk areas and collaborate with site management on strategies to mitigate risk, injuries, and hazards to Goodwill property.
  • Ensures all federal and state regulations are being met.
  • Developing, coordinating, and delivering training on safety/risk related topics identified within Risk Management Information Systems.
  • Leads safety, risk analysis and claim management with site management in safety territory.
  • Promotes and ensures the health and safety of employees and protection of the environment through responsive and proactive Environmental Safety & Health (ESH) programs.
  • Protect employees from accidents and environmental hazards while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Establishes performance target objectives aligned with strategic Goodwill Way and Guiding Principles.
  • Act as consultant to internal business partners, personnel and management in health, ergonomic and safety related issues.
  • Support the incident analysis process to ensure proper root cause, corrective actions, and preventative measures are taken
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the ESH program in regards to compliance, management systems, and culture.
  • Develop, recommend and implement appropriate corrective measures.
  • Raise awareness and provide support around incident reporting guidelines and the claims management process.
  • Conduct site visits to all sites assigned in safety territory.
  • Scheduling, site visit and follow ups to sites scheduled for annual site visits
  • Scheduling meet and greets to all sites
  • Follow up with any site with significant hazards
  • Oversight of employee safety education and prevention programs including but not limited to top risks to business operations, slips trips falls, handling material, patient lifting, and workplace violence prevention.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Safety and Loss Control to develop safety training and reference materials for all divisions.
  • Coordinate the ongoing review and update of standard operating procedures
  • Develop recommendations to reduce costs and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and promote safety recognition in your safety territory.
  • Support the incident analysis process to ensure proper root cause, corrective actions, and preventative measures are taken. Ensure process for filing incident reports and documentation is within company guidelines
  • Responsible for safety committees and committee meetings.
  • Coordinate monthly meetings for safety committee in your territory
  • Attend other safety committee meeting in the territory assigned
  • Responsible for training committee in emergency response procedures and holding facility drills.
  • Provide safety support to the Asset Protection and Security Departments staff on cross departmental projects and process improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
  • Complete end of month reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for completing all other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
