About The Position

BASIC PURPOSE: Process public and private unit deposit pledges. Analyze depositor’s eligibility for enrollment in pledge program. Assist customers with establishing system access for pledges and provide training on the pledge system and DocuSign agreements. Provide support as needed with daily Safekeeping and wire transactional functions. Provide member training on Safekeeping pledge processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Analyzes and establishes new third-party pledge relationships and agreements, ensures legal agreements are reviewed for completeness and accuracy, and appropriate pledge signature authorizations are established Acts as main point of contact for the Bank’s third-party pledge program with State pledge representatives Coordinates the substitution of collateral to include obtaining substitution agreements from depositors. Performs review of pledge procedures and makes policy, process, and procedure change recommendations to management, as needed Assists customers in getting set up for use of the Bank’s online (FHLBAccess) pledge system. Provides an overview of the online pledge process to customers and updates the FHLBAccess online pledge help guide, as needed. Ensures the preparation, analysis and reconciliation of the following data is complete, on time, and accurate: Daily public and private depositor pledge and release activity Monthly reconciliation of state pledges and supplies monthly reporting to state offices Oversees the maintenance of electronic documents related to pledge transactions and balancing Inputs and/or approves safekeeping purchase and sale instructions in the Bank’s online banking application for submission to custodian bank. Performs safekeeping transaction analysis and reviews by comparing the instructions received from members for accuracy with the bank’s online application. Assists with internal and external member phone calls related to Public Unit Deposits and to Safekeeping purchase/sale transactions and settlement with custodian Provides timely and accurate information to shareholders about the resolution of their inquiry in accordance with Safekeeping policies and procedures. Assists with the daily review of the custodian’s system to ensure timely and accurate processing of voluntary corporate actions Performs Safekeeping inquiries analysis, corresponds with shareholders along with custodian and submits inquiry workflows to management for review and approval Performs monthly billing reconciliation Performs initiation or approval of start-of-day or end-of-day safekeeping reconciliation and related wire transfer functions, when needed in-keeping with maker/checker controls Analyzes, approves, and releases Risk queue wire transfers through the Money Transfer System, upon request Reviews and investigates Wire Transfers for potentially Specially Designated Nationals designated by the Office of Foreign Asset Control, as needed Assists with system testing, Manual Operations and other Bank Business Continuity testing for EPayments and Safekeeping, JPMorgan Disaster Recovery testing, Federal Reserve Bank Business Resumption testing and Bilateral testing

Requirements

  • Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and possess the ability to generate reports as needed.
  • Has critical thinking skills and is able to analyze and troubleshoot problems in the assigned areas.
  • Ability to work independently demonstrating strong initiative and execution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and organizational skills.
  • An associate degree with six years of securities safekeeping experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
  • This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Atlanta, GA office.
  • This position may not be filled in New Jersey, either in-person or remotely.
