The role focuses on team facilitation, flow of value, and continuous improvement within a SAFe context, partnering closely with Product Owners, RTEs, and peer Scrum Masters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a dedicated Scrum Master for Agile teams, ideally including non-software or configuration-focused teams.
  • At least one Scrum Master certification (for example: CSM, PSM, SSM, SASM).
  • Experience as a Scrum Master in a SAFe environment, with direct participation in PI Planning and other ART level events.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating Scrum events and team workshops in remote and hybrid settings.
  • Proficiency with Jira for boards, backlogs, and reporting, and working knowledge of Jira Align for PI planning, dependency management, and progress tracking.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills without formal authority.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare IT or clinical project environments strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Scrum Master for 1–2 configuration focused teams, ensuring effective, time-boxed Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Review, Retrospective).
  • Coach teams on Scrum, SAFe, and Lean Agile principles, adapting practices appropriately for configuration and process work.
  • Remove or escalate impediments that block teams; improve flow and reduce waste across the value stream.
  • Partner with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to prepare for and execute PI Planning, ART Syncs/Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to manage cross team dependencies and address systemic impediments on the ART.
  • Use Jira and Jira Align to visualize work, support backlog refinement, manage team boards, and provide transparent views of progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement and planning with Product Owners by enabling clear, thin, testable slices of value for configuration changes.
  • Track and share team level flow and outcome metrics (for example: predictability, throughput, cycle time, defect trends) to support inspect and adapt.
  • Foster healthy team dynamics, psychological safety, and effective collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.

Benefits

  • We offer competitive benefits package including paid time off, healthcare benefits, supplemental benefits, 401k including an employer match, discount perks, rewards, and more.
  • Every employee is eligible for education reimbursement for certifications, degrees, or professional development.
  • We dedicate funds for activities – virtual and in-person – e.g., we host happy hours, holiday events, fitness & wellness events, and annual celebrations.
