About The Position

S&T Program Manager The Opportunity: On our team, you’ll serve as Program Manager for the client’s project, working with groups of scientists and engineers to provide program management support throughout the remaining phases of the mission, including integration, test, delivery, launch, and operations. What You'll Work On: Develop and maintain the project schedule, including work breakdown structures (WBS), milestones, and deliverable timelines aligned with client mission schedules. Analyze and evaluate technical requirements and translate them into actionable project plans. Develop and maintain funding profiles and resource allocation plans, and assist with project budgets. Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation and recovery plans. Monitor execution of project plans, tracking progress against schedule and budget baselines. Collect and report data on team performance, earned value, and schedule or cost variances. Coordinate the availability of personnel, facilities, and equipment needed to meet deliverable commitments. Support contracting and contract management activities, including procurement of related hardware, materials, and services. Track and manage action items arising from project meetings, design reviews, and partner coordination activities. Serve as the programmatic representative at project meetings, including coordination meetings with international and domestic partners. Work closely with the Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator(s), program leads, individual performers, the client sponsor, and the Branch Head. Prepare and present briefings for project team reviews, programmatic reviews, and partner coordination meetings. Prepare and submit progress reports, technical reports, and status updates that are clear and informative, ensuring all necessary programmatic and technical information is available to the project team, the Branch Head, and the client sponsor. Develop and maintain project management artifacts, including schedules, risk registers, and action item trackers, using state-of-the-art project management tools and processes. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project management using Agile methodology
  • Experience in project or program management for space flight instrument or space mission programs
  • Experience with NASA mission lifecycle, review processes such as PDR, CDR, PSR, or MRR, and reporting requirements
  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and work breakdown structures
  • Experience preparing briefings and reports for senior management and external sponsors
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-institutional, and international team environment
  • Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with international space missions or JAXA and NASA collaborative programs
  • Experience with solar physics instrumentation or EUV/UV spectroscopic instruments
  • Experience with earned value management (EVM) or similar cost or schedule performance tracking methodologies
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management Certification such as PMP Certification
