Russian Language Research Analyst Intern
About The Position
Riverside Overview Riverside Research is an independent National Security Nonprofit dedicated to research and development in the national interest. We provide high-end technical services, research and development, and prototype solutions to some of the country’s most challenging technical problems. All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship. Position Overview Riverside Research is seeking applicants for a Russian Language Research Analyst Intern to work in Dayton, OH. This internship will provide hands‑on experience supporting research and analysis for our customer. Interns will assist in sourcing, translating, organizing, analyzing, and summarizing information on topics of interest. Under the guidance of senior analysts, interns will translate foreign‑language text, audio, or video content; help prepare reference materials; contribute to draft research papers; and may support the development of formal briefings.
Requirements
- Must live in or relocate to a commutable distance to Fairborn, OH
- Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI adjudication
- Enrolled in and completed at least 3 years of instruction towards a bachelor’s degree in international Affairs, Area Studies, Economics, Intelligence Studies, or any science, technology, engineering or mathematics discipline
- Intermediate to advanced language proficiency in Russian
- Experience with web-based research
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team player
Responsibilities
- Source, translate, organize, analyze, and summarize information on topics of interest from foreign research publications, peer-reviewed journal articles, papers, audio files, or video clips
- Prepare reference documents, draft research papers, and present findings in formal briefings populate databases with key information
- Other duties as assigned
