The Recovery Support Center staffing includes a manager and three Coordinators, all of whom are people in recovery. The three Coordinators each have core duties to the Center and the members, but also each have a special focus as summarized below. The coordinators work together, as well as with the Manager, peer leaders, and members, to ensure that the Recovery Support Center is a safe, welcoming, supportive, and consistent community for people who are sober and in recovery. Coordinators must be committed to championing recovery, providing and encouraging peer-to-peer support and helping to shape and organize the overall Peer Participatory Process that is the heart of the RSC model. Coordinators expected to act as positive role models and peer mentors, providing guidance, support, and access to key resources that help members on their recovery journey, no matter what pathway of recovery they choose. The Community Outreach Coordinator is a vital member of the Recovery Support Center. This position is part of a team of employees, who work together to ensure that the Recovery Support Center is a safe, welcoming, supportive and consistent community for people who are sober and in recovery. The Community Outreach Coordinator provides guidance, knowledge, support and access to resources within SFH and/or within the local Boston area while respecting and supporting the pathway of recovery the member may choose. The Community Outreach Coordinator champions’ recovery provides and encourages peer-to-peer support to help, shape and organize the overall Peer Participatory Process that is the heart of the RSC model.
