About The Position

We're looking for a ROUTER OPERATOR that will inspect forged parts for any forging flash extension and/or excess metal from manufactured parts. You will use a router tool to remove excess metal from the parts. Job Requirements: Work safe and maintain an organized, lean work environment. Visualy and by touch will inspect forged parts and work pieces for excess metal. Perform tooling set-up as required for specficied parts. Select the proper size of cutters and bearings for routing parts and remove excess metal from manufactured parts to blueprint specifications and shop orders. Mount parts and work pieces in holding fixture or hand hold to secure. Remove defects with air-powered deburring tools. Maintain accureate part and or work piece counts. Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job-specific travelers. Maintain acceptable attendance record. Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor.Comply with all APP Inc safety rules and company polocies. Read blueprints and ICL's. Use of precision tools (calipers, scissor micrometer, height gage, ball/flat micrometer, etc.) Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.

Requirements

  • Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time
  • 3 months of related manufacturing/production experience
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
  • In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person
  • English (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension)
  • Must be able to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines
  • Will stand on feet 80% of the time and work in area that can exceed 90F throughout the work year
