About The Position

AMA provides technical support to the U.S. Army’s Technology Development Directorate (TDD) at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This work supports the development, application, and advancement of high-fidelity modeling and simulation tools used in Army rotorcraft acquisition programs, including Future Vertical Lift (FVL). Key tools such as CREATE-AV Helios are used to analyze rotorcraft aerodynamics, structural dynamics, acoustics, and multidisciplinary interactions. With the recent introduction of GPU-capable Helios, ensuring software correctness, performance, and robustness across CPU and GPU architecture is critical to maintaining confidence in Army rotorcraft modeling and simulation capabilities. About the Project: The Rotorcraft Simulation & Software Quality Engineer will support Army rotorcraft engineering efforts through a dual role: Quality assurance (QA), verification and validation (V&V), and release support for the CREATE-AV Helios software, and Application of Helios for rotorcraft modeling and simulation. This position plays a critical role in supporting rotorcraft analysis and engineering applications and ensuring the reliability, correctness, and performance of Helios—particularly for its GPU-enabled capabilities. Work location will be at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Pay for this position is approximately $108,000 - $118,000 per year, commensurate with experience, and includes a competitive benefits package.
