About The Position

As a modeling and simulation engineer focused on developing innovative sensor technologies, you will design and optimize touch and force sensors through comprehensive design analysis, modeling, and cross-functional collaboration. This role centers on leveraging advanced simulation techniques and analytical modeling to predict touch and force sensor behavior, optimize user interaction response, and ensure robust performance across diverse operating conditions. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including electrical engineers, mechanical designers, material scientists, sensor algorithms engineer to translate modeling insights into manufacturable sensor solutions that meet stringent performance requirements while driving next-generation touch and force sensing capabilities.

Requirements

  • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Proficient in using commercial MCAD, ECAD and multiphysics FEA software

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in electrostatics and dielectric materials.
  • Experience with FEA modeling tools and understanding of the underlying governing equations.
  • Direct experience with COMSOL (or equivalent) FEA simulation tools.
  • Understanding of material behavior and how it impacts sensor performance due to thermal, humidity, electromagnetic and mechanical effects. Multiphysics modeling background to incorporate these effects is a plus.
  • Good understanding of electrical circuits. Experience with touch and force sensor design is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as NX is a plus.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to facilitate cross-functional discussion is extremely important.
