Reasons you’ll love working here: Flexibility with Work/Life Balance Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package 401K with generous company match Climate-Neutral Footprint Worldwide Tuition reimbursement Summary: The Leadperson, reporting to the Manager of Repair Operations, actively supervises and trains hourly staff, oversees productivity and quality in their area, and performs rotor repairs, inspections, and other assigned duties. Additionally, this team member is responsible for managing all operations within the Rotor Repair area, and ensuring effective teamwork, safety, and compliance with company standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

  • Take part in hiring, performance reviews, and personnel decisions.
  • Provide training for new employees or delegate this responsibility to someone reliable, ensuring consistency by having the same person conduct hands-on crane training each time.
  • Cross-train all team members so that every role has at least one backup available.
  • Monitor check-in and disassembly processes to ensure they're completed promptly, following a first-in, first-out approach.
  • Allocate tasks to each employee, including yourself, and follow up to confirm they are completed on schedule.
  • Collaborate with office staff to identify job priorities, manage workflow, and accommodate urgent requests.
  • Act as your area's representative in safety meetings, quickly report any safety issues, review near-miss situations, and regularly inspect tools, lifting equipment, and PPE to verify they meet safety standards.
  • Encourage a strong safety culture by suggesting and implementing practice improvements and offering advice on safe and compliant working methods.
  • Build a positive team atmosphere by motivating staff, celebrating accomplishments, and maintaining open, constructive communication.
  • Supervise daily activities, enforce company policies, and keep workspaces clean and well-organized.
  • Assist team members, oversee resource and inventory management, and coordinate work schedules.
